I don't actually like Stouts and Porters, but a good dark lager or a black IPA can work for me.
Nice work Trapp guys.

Good to hear Von Trapp continues to kick ass! I love their Vienna Lager.

I t’s nice to have quality European-style microbrews available locally. It’s not cheap, but it stacks up well against even the *very* expensive imports.

Finding good lagers among the craft offerings is a hell of a lot easier today, though, than it was just a few years ago. Considering how much longer it takes for lagers (vs ales) to be ready, I’m a bit surprised they don’t cost even more.
Vermont craft beer s overall do seem to skew high, pricewise . I’m not a huge fan of the 4 tallboy format that so many of them have adopted, vs the traditional sixer. There are a handful of west coast breweries that dabble in both, and I’ll be damned if some of their 4x16s aren’t more expensive than 6x12. I guess they’re targeting the “bad at simple math” consumer.

The Vermont craft brews are almost always priced by ABV, but even so, yes, we do tend to run high. Cost of living here is very high, and the price of goods sold by small producers reflects that.
